The purpose of this role is to lead and manage a Claims Technical team within the Motor claims specialism, whose priority is to investigate and settle claims in line with the Company strategy. The role will also ensure adherence to Company procedures and regulatory requirements and ensure a high standard of customer service.
Monitors, motivates, directs, develops and manages the performance of the team to ensure quality control, service delivery, daily resource management and cost control, and that training needs are identified and provided.
Supports local Claims Management, participating in the production of annual business plans and budgets
Implements PTR, SDS and PDP processes for reporting staff
Devises, implements, tracks and revises short, medium and long-term plans to deliver SLAs and KPTs
Liaises both internally and externally with underwriters, brokers and suppliers.
In accordance with both Company and regulatory requirements, ensures the effective management of customer complaints. Utilises Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports to provide feedback to staff and creates action plans for improvement.
Assumes responsibility for Performance Measurement and evaluation of Management Information
Skills & Experience
Ability to build and maintain an effective network across the business.
Awareness of market developments that affect own area of Claims.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Able to influence change within own team or area. Good understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks.
Responsible for the technical results within the unit of specialism.
Sound technical understanding of the business unit being led.
Excellent Claims and product knowledge.
